Welding

Werner Systems offers several different in-house capabilities, one of which is our specialty in welding. Our team is skilled in production welding services, using our advanced equipment to create durable, precise welds for any project you send our way! We offer several different types of production welding services to accommodate a wide variety of customer needs.

MIG Welding

MIG Welding is one of the most popular types of welding for heavy-duty manufacturing, whether it’s for particularly large projects or rugged parts used in industrial and other high-stress applications. Metal inert gas or MIG welding uses a constant electrical supply to create an arc that fuses the base metal with a filler wire that is continuously fed through the welding torch. An inert shielding gas is also fed through the torch to protect the weld pool from any contamination since the gas won’t react with anything in the atmosphere or the weld pool itself. MIG welding is highly efficient and often much faster than other types of welding and often requires little to no cleaning or finishing once completed.

TIG Welding

Tungsten inert gas or TIG welding is similar to MIG welding, as it also uses an inert shielding gas (usually argon) to protect the weld area from contaminants in the air without actually causing any reactions. Using a non-consumable tungsten electrode, this type of welder can join a wide variety of metals with exceptional control and versatility. TIG welding also offers several other advantages, including excellent weld quality, minimal spatter, and aesthetically pleasing weld qualities.

Stick Welding

Stick welding or shielded metal arc welding (SMA) is the most basic and reliable form of welding still in use today. SMA welding can be used to meld just about any metal with the right tools and expertise, and it isn’t dependent on a shielding gas like MIG and TIG, making it much more versatile. However, it’s also a little slower and has an increased risk for error. That being said, it can be done on location, even outdoors, and it isn’t sensitive to things like rust, scaling, oil, or grease.
