Werner Systems is an experienced machine shop with CNC milling and turning capabilities. We use our experience and flexibility to provide our customers with quality machined components. We offer high precision and accuracy, as well as our experience working with many different materials.
High-precision CNC machining is our specialty. With this equipment and our expertise, we can create tight tolerance components efficiently, quickly, and with much more consistent quality across part batches. Werner Systems has equipment for both complex, high-precision milling and turning.
CNC Milling
Milling is one of the oldest and most reliable operations in manufacturing and metalworking. Thanks to the integration of computer numerical control, it is today one of the most common types of precision machining. CNC mills are incredibly versatile, able to create complex three-dimensional shapes with varying geometries and sizes, especially when it comes to very large components.
Werner has several 5-axis CNC milling machines with bed sizes that accommodate components up to 10 ft. long and hold tolerances of ±0.015 in. 5-axis mills are some of the most versatile, creating a wide range of different shapes and features from a workpiece. We also have both vertical and horizontal milling machines for more flexibility in the project volumes and part complexities that we can accommodate.
CNC Turning
CNC turning is a very similar process to milling, but it involves a rapidly spinning workpiece being shaped with a stationary tool. CNC turning centers (also called lathes) are best suited for cylindrical parts and parts that are symmetrical across their axis, as well as for high-speed and high-volume production. Turning centers are best for small to medium components that require exceptionally high precision.
According to customer designs, Werner Systems maintains several CNC lathes for the high-speed production of various smaller components.
